Morten Sandlykke, CEO and founder of TARGIT

Since the dawn of the PC in the 1980'ies Morten has been a pioneer in the software industry. Morten was the founder of TARGIT in 1986 and has been involved in establishing several IT companies in Scandinavia and the US.

Morten has been leading TARGIT through 22 years of constant development and transformation.

Morten's academic path includes management education from Henley Management College and Scandinavian International Management Institute.

Dr. Morten Middelfart, CTO

At the age of 14 Morten Middelfart began working professionally in the software industry and by his 25th birthday he had established the successful Business Intelligence company, Morton Systems. In 1997 Morton Systems was acquired by TARGIT and Morten Middelfart was hired to be the CTO of TARGIT. The TARGIT suite we know today still feeds of the technologies and ideas from Morton Systems. 

Morten leads the technological development of TARGIT and is currently working to redefine the term “user-friendliness” within business intelligence software.

Morten is educated from Henley Management College in the UK (MBA), and Rushmore University in the US where he finished his Ph.D. by publishing the groundbreaking book about Computer Aided Leadership and Management (CALM). He is currently in progress with his second Ph.D. with the title “Optimizing Business Intelligence with the OODA Framework” at the Center for Data-Intensive Systems (DAISY) at Aalborg University in Denmark.

Morten is a former Army Officer, and his experience in business intelligence dates back to 1992 where he worked as a project manager for Maersk (currently no. 106 on Fortune 500) with focus on turning data into decisions. In his spare time Morten is an experienced skydiver and instructor with more than 1300 jumps and a few B.A.S.E. jumps behind him.

Flemming G. Madsen, Senior VP of Sales

Flemming G. Madsen started his career in the IT industry in June 1991 when he began working for TARGIT A/S. Back then TARGIT sold ERP systems for retail customers and with a background in retail Flemming truly understood the needs of this group of customers.

Today, TARGIT delivers Business Intelligence solutions to all lines of business – all over the world, and Flemming has played a significant role in transforming TARGIT from a national player in the IT industry to now being a world-wide supplier of Business Intelligence.   

Flemming has led the building of an extensive network of dedicated distributors and resellers throughout the world, and he is always looking for new opportunities for distributing TARGIT to customers on the world market.
