TARGIT has issued Service Release 2 (SR2) for TARGIT BI Suite 2K9.

Focusing on a mixture of market driven enhancements from TARGIT's user community and internal R&D team, SR2 presents both new and improved features.

Among the features for both the administrator and everyday user, SR2 offers:

64 bit MS SharePoint

SharePoint administrators will be pleased to know that TARGIT now integrates perfectly with 64 bit SharePoint.

User Preferences defaults

The administrator may now set default user preferences for new TARGIT users. This will save time and clicks of having to set preferences manually for each user. Of course, the users may later change their settings to accommodate their needs.

Dialog-based editor: Get a clearer overview and more control

SR2 offers you a significantly clearer overview with a new editor. Formatting numbers and decimals may now be done in an intuitive dialog instead of the Smartpad.

Client-side formatting: One click can make a difference

Generally, numbers and decimals have different standard formats in various languages. But when enabling the clever ‘Client-side number formatting’, you save clicks because all formatting is done on the client side in accordance with the language on your system - the formatting will be effective in all existing objects and reports without making other changes in them.

Initial criteria (new feature): Make everyday life easier for new users

Service Release 2 introduces the new exciting option to specify initial criteria. Basically, initial criteria are applied by an administrator to give new users access to selected data only - as a starting point.
