Danish based IT company TARGIT have had a breakthrough in Italy and is about to open a division in the UK. The company, which develops business intelligence software, believes the recession is over. “We have noted a 30 percent growth on several foreign markets”, says CEO Morten Sandlykke and continues: “Like other companies, we experienced the insecurity on the markets this spring, but everything indicates that we are getting back on track in accordance with our own objectives”.
The positive tendencies make TARGIT focus more on the European market. Currently, they are planning to establish a division in the UK, where TARGIT has experienced significant growth over a longer period of time.
After a couple of years of hard work, the Danish software developer has also succeeded in breaking through the linguistic and cultural barrier in Italy. They did this by entering a reseller agreement with a distributor in the country. TARGIT’s VP of Sales Flemming Madsen explains:” It is a distributor with expert experience in our area of business, which has been on the lookout for the right product. Therefore, it makes us proud that they see the potential in our software solution and our special way of treating partners and that they have chosen to commit themselves to us. The new Italian distributor has already closed a sale with a large retail chain”.
TARGIT explains the international ventures in simple terms. “Roughly speaking, we are selling knowledge with our product, and we believe that knowledge is Denmark’s most important resource. A resource, which very much can be exported”, concludes Flemming Madsen. |
