Striving to reach this goal, the company has among other things, looked at ways to make data management more effective.
For Island Hearing, it is crucial that information can be accessed quickly. They realized that, with the existing tools, they could not retrieve data without writing advanced SQL queries or accessing information directly through each application interface. Therefore, they started looking for a solution that would provide them with a better overview and the ability to access the required data faster. They wanted a tool that would enable them to easily slice and dice information, and present data with visually appealing graphics.
Monitoring the business in TARGIT
In their search, they found TARGIT BI Suite to be the best product. Catherine Bennetto, IT Director at Island Hearing, comments: “We looked at a number of other solutions; however, TARGIT was best positioned in terms of ease of use for the end-user, and price.“
Island Hearing primarily uses TARGIT in Operations to measure realized sales against budgets. The solution gathers data from Equicare, the company’s client management and scheduling solution, and from Microsoft Dynamics GP. “We perform a daily sales summary against targets so we can make business decisions and address issues before the financial data come out. I personally open the TARGIT application each morning to see how our sales are progressing against budget”, says Bennetto.
Immediate feedback on initiatives
TARGIT has enabled Island Hearing to become a more efficient organization. Decisions can be made faster, and it helps the company adapt production volumes to demand. Bob Liew, VP of Operations, states: ”Targit provides me with up-to-date information about the company’s sales activities and gives me an immediate feedback on our corporate initiatives.” And Catherine Bennetto is not hesitant to recommend TARGIT to other companies: “I would definitely recommend TARGIT to others. It is a very powerful tool. The software is reliable and very easy to train on, and most importantly it provides us with a centralized window to our business.”
