Nissin Foods is a company with proud traditions of making products which are convenient for the consumer, yet of high quality. They have a long list of successful and innovative ramen products, and in order to maximize their profit, it is very important for Nissin Foods to be able to gain insight into which products sell in which area. When their consulting company suggested TARGIT, Nissin Foods did not hesitate – they saw that this business intelligence suite could very well be the solution to the challenge that they were facing of predicting the market trends.

TARGIT was implemented in NAV and they particularly noticed how smoothly the implementation process went since TARGIT integrated perfectly with NAV. Their plan was to put everything in TARGIT over time. “Before finally settling on TARGIT as our business intelligence solution, we were looking at a few other products, but we found that they were either too bulgy, they did not have the necessary reporting tool or they were too expensive”, says Ruben Haritoonian, IT Manager, and continues: “TARGIT matches our requirements perfectly. Not only have we now got all the reporting tools that we need, we also make great use of the Notification Agents which automatically generate an e-mail in case of sudden changes in our data. I’m also very fond of the Dashboards that give me a quick overview of the data that are important to me”.
Moreover, Ruben Haritoonian likes the fact that TARGIT is so easy to use and does not require a technical background: “For an average programmer, it is easy to grasp the idea and start using TARGIT. I do not need to train too many people, which saves me both time and money”. Ruben Haritoonian himself has good memories from the TARGIT course he attended, and recently, he had the pleasure of meeting one of his former class mates, who had also set up the cubes. “It is really nice to see that other people are happy about using TARGIT and to share memories and experiences; I know that we made the best decision when we chose TARGIT as our BI solution – but experiences like that consolidates my conviction”.
