TARGIT ANTserver is the heart of any TARGIT solution. The server ensures availability of the company’s various data sources in TARGIT BI Suite.

The ANTserver Services the TARGIT Clients

The primary task of the ANTserver is to manage the data communication between the data warehouse and the TARGIT clients. This makes TARGIT ANTserver the connective link for all TARGIT users on the system. TARGIT ANTserver works multi-dimensionally, i.e. it services many clients at the same time. TARGIT ANTserver can be connected to a Microsoft cube database.

You can connect an unlimited number of databases to the ANTserver and, at the same time, all the company’s existing IT systems can be connected, allowing data across all of the company’s business areas to be analyzed in TARGIT BI Suite. This ensures a common decision-making base for all parts of the company.

The ANTserver Manages a Number of Key Elements that are Initiated from TARGIT:

Automated activities, e.g. generation of regular reports and intelligent agents.
Administration of all analyses and reports, ensuring accessibility from any location.
Language configuration. Support for a number of languages, making it easy to exchange information globally across language barriers.
Security is supported either by TARGIT Security or Microsoft Windows Security (managed via the Enterprise Manager).

TARGIT ANTserver Enterprise

TARGIT ANTserver is also available in an Enterprise edition. This is the solution for companies with more complex and advanced requirements. TARGIT ANTserver Enterprise makes it possible to pool all existing databases and business areas in the same Business Intelligence solution. This allows all decision makers to act on the basis of the same information – an essential ingredient in the creation of a dynamic and action-oriented organisation.

Enterprise Features:

Multi database support. TARGIT ANTserver Enterprise allows an unlimited number of databases to connect to a single ANTserver. This opens the way for data from all of the company’s databases to be analyzed in TARGIT.

Relational support. TARGIT ANTserver Enterprise can connect to relational databases which are managed and modelled in TARGIT’s standard modelling environment.

Support for the cube generators in Oracle 9i Olap and DB2 Cubeviews, such that data from these can be integrated with other data sources.

Network Load Balancing. Network Load Balancing makes it possible to use several ANT servers at the same time and ensure optimal hardware utilisation across multiple servers.

Query logging. TARGIT ANTserver Enterprise logs and stores each user’s data queries.

TARGIT ANTserver Corporate Communication

As well as in a Standard and an Enterprise edition, the TARGIT ANTserver is available in a Corporate Communication edition which allows even more users the access to TARGIT - giving them the possibility to act on basis of the information they receive.

The Corporate Communication server gives you the right to install the TARGIT ANTserver on two servers, in order to establish a Network Load Balancing environment, which can be used as a fail-over solution, directing the users' requests to the server with most available performance capability.

TARGIT Corporate Communication server helps you generate the corporate identity, internally as well as externally. Show the world your company's competencies by presenting your data on video, storyboards or Podcast - let flat screens dominate the reception, the call center or the manufacturing hall to sharpen the employees' awareness of the company's goals - and to make qualified decisions in accordance with the goals based on up-to-date data.

The Corporate Communication server gives you:

Scheduling support - storyboards, analyses and table data: Be sure to communicate the corporate identity to all employees - and to visitors.
Batch Scheduling support: Batch Scheduling makes it easy to export a report to various recipients allowing only the visibility of exactly the information you want your recipients to receive.
Slideshow support: TARGIT Corporate Communication server allows you to show slides with the latest updated TARGIT information (analyses, gauges etc.) on your company monitors.
