The TARGIT Portal Development Kit (PDK) supports custom login, embedding in an existing web site and many other functions to control TARGIT.NET. The documentation provides samples that shows how to use all the API functions.

With TARGIT’s Portal Development Kit (PDK) TARGIT.NET can be customized or integrated in any web application. By integrating with using the PDK the TARGIT.NET solution can be integrated in an existing web sites security and analysis and reports can be integrated directly into a corporate web site. That way the TARGIT.NET solution can give employees critical knowledge from TARGIT BI Suite without additional training and employees can work with analyses, dashboards, and reports without having to open a separate TARGIT application.

Tailor TARGIT to your web site

You can control TARGIT.NET and adjust the properties of TARGIT.NET in a number of ways. For instance, you can have the corporate web site show a complete TARGIT solution containing the intuitive and user-friendly analysis and reporting tools. If you want the PDK can enable you to control TARGIT.NET to show only a particular analysis or an important dashboard that can be specified here too. Besides loading an analysis or report you can control the criteria of the analysis or report without having to save templates with the criteria. So in a real environment it gives you an opportunity to dynamically handle “forced” criteria. You can also specify the size and placement of the TARGIT.NET PDK implementation, and yet another option is to hide the Toolbar and the Smartpad.

All users logged on to the PDK implementation must have a valid TARGIT NET license Internet Information Services 6.0 or higher
To customize the PDK implementation you need Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with Service Pack 1 or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 installed.
