What does a week of inspiration, connection, and innovation look like for TARGIT?
Another Microsoft Convergence has come and gone and we were once again thrilled to be a part of all of the excitement in Atlanta. As Microsoft Certified Gold Partners, TARGIT has been a part of this important and impactful gathering of the Microsoft community almost since its inception in 1997.
This year's Convergence was a departure from the event's traditional focus exclusively on Microsoft Dynamics, and instead broadened its horizons to the full range of tools and processes that will empower the organization. In fact, empowerment was theme of the week.
In the opening keynote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Executive Vice President of the Microsoft Business Solutions Group Kirill Tatarinov, and General Manager of Office Product Management Julia White demonstrated how evolving technology is empowering people, organizations, and industries to be more efficient and effective. More specifically, behind every great company are the people who run it, and behind every person is a technology that makes them work smarter.
And the key to that, according to Nadella, is bringing data to every individual in the organization. We couldn't have said it better ourselves. On second thought, we can say it better: It's about bringing the right data in the right way to the right people throughout the entire organization. In fact, that's been TARGIT's mission since Day One. When decision-makers are presented with the data they need in a way that makes sense to them, they're empowered to make decisions with courage.
"We don't buy software based on a feature list, but based on how it makes us feel."
Good decisions aren't dependent on technology alone. Best-selling author and Marketing provocateur Seth Godin's Convergence session was reminiscent of the TARGIT Action Loop. Godin strayed from the typically Microsoft-focused topics of the week and presented an inspiring keynote on the heart of decision-making and leadership. More specifically, on making the frightening choices because those are the only risks worth taking.
At TARGIT, we discuss the emotional aspect of decision-making all the time. In fact, it's a topic that we cover extensively in an upcoming eBook, so stay tuned. As you may know, the traditional OODA Loop is a cycle of Observation, Orientation, Decision, and Action. We call this the Action Loop.
We recognize the courage it takes to move through the Loop from making a decision to executing. That's why many decisions stall in this phase. And a stalled decision can be a costly state for any company.
That's why we say in between the stages of Decision and Action, TARGIT injects courage. Past experiences and differing opinions fall away when you provide data in the form of clear reports, analyses, and dashboards. Every decision-maker within the company is aligned with the trusted information they need to make data-driven decisions.
Ultimately, decision-making and executing action require the human component in every Action Loop. Because truly, no decision can ever be made without human emotion, no matter the level of insight delivered by a BI solution.
Godin discussed fear as something that should be both embraced and conquered. "The enemy of creativity is fear, but the enemy of fear is creativity," he declared. But in the end, leaping with danger is the only kind of leap that matters. We ask, why leap with fear when you can do so with confidence and courage when backed up by the right data?
The strongest emotion you should feel when making a decision is courage. It takes courage to make an impactful change. Do you have what it takes to take the leap?
Connections that matter
Convergence isn't just about sessions for TARGIT. We were also there making and fostering meaningful connections with our customers, potential customers, and partners. Our days at booth #1234 were packed with meetings, demos, and good conversations. There's nothing we like more than listening to business problems and showing exactly how TARGIT Decision Suite can solve them.
Kind of like how TARGIT COO Ulrik Pedersen demonstrated to a crowd at the Convergence Media Wall how with TARGIT, it's possible to build a cube, dashboard, and report from scratch in under six minutes. I'm not sure you can spin the Action Loop must faster than that.
If you weren't at Convergence or you didn't have a chance to stop by at the expo, you can still request a demo today. And for a chance to meet us in person at an upcoming, keep an eye on our events page.
