Leading IT analyst firm, Gartner, has placed the Danish business intelligence software developer TARGIT as a “Niche Player” in the prestigious "Magic Quadrant" (see "Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms" by John Haggerty et.al., February 2012).
According to Gartner “business users demand easy to use, flexible products that put analytical power into their own hands”. Gartner also states that they “hear buyers looking for a combination of analytic capabilities (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive) to meet a broad set of business use cases and requirements.”
“Our customers chose TARGIT because we make BI easier. Easier to implement, easier to integrate and easier to use. That is exactly what we are aiming for,” states TARGIT CEO, Morten Sandlykke and continues: “I am excited that our customers rapidly adapt to our new predictive analytics feature called Sentinels, an attempt to make our customers’ lives a little easier with new technology.”
On the importance of cloud analytics, Gartner states that “many who do use cloud analytics augment existing BI capabilities”. Gartner also predicts that mobility will be of continuous importance for BI users and “by 2013, 33 percent of BI functionality will be consumed via handheld devices.”
TARGIT CTO Dr. Morten Middelfart says: “I am excited to have the years of methodical efforts paid off via the recognition of TARGIT’s integration of relevant BI disciplines: reporting, OLAP, ad-hoc query, and dashboards. Not only has TARGIT been recognized, we’ve been providing a consistent user experience, new cloud-based data discovery capabilities as well as expanding upon our social networking and collaborative features.”
