New course types at TARGIT University

November 14, 2012
TARGIT University has instituted two new Data Warehousing courses.

While the level of difficulty may be intermediate, the Data Warehouse Developer Basic course actually requires no previous training. Over two days, the instructors will guide participants safely through the complex universe of Multi Dimensional Data Warehousing on a SQL Server 2012 platform.

The basic course gives an administrative user the fundamental knowledge needed in order to implement a Multi Dimensional Data Warehouse. After completing the course, the user will be able to implement adjustments and additions to a running Data Warehouse. A greater understanding of the technologies and methods behind Data Warehousing will also bridge the communication gaps between an organization and its external consultants.

The Data Warehouse Developer Advanced course is for the professional Data Warehouse Developer. Upon completion of the two-day course, the developer will be able to optimize a BI solution to reach its full potential.

“We restructured our 4-day long TARGIT Certified Professional course where the last day was spent on a test. With two new two-day courses, we have more time for teaching,” explains Head of TARGIT University Mr. Ole Dyring. “Now, the courses fit the skill levels of both beginners and professionals. And more time for teaching makes it possible to integrate more advanced content in the advanced Developer course. This has been requested by many of our skilled course participants.”

The TARGIT Certification process has also been restructured. A new separate five-hour exam can be taken online or on-site. "We made the exam voluntary, and we encourage participants to take the exam. It is the best way to state your advanced skills," concludes the Head of TARGIT University.
