Hello Everybody

I am an economics student at Aarhus University, Denmark. I am writing my thesis about how to demand forecast in Targit, and here i have come across a problem that i cannot solve. I hope someone can help me.

I am demand forecasting for a lot of products. If a product has not been sold since eg. october 2012, Targit makes a forecast for november and december 2012, which makes no sense to do, since we are now i march 2013. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would rather like it to be zero in the months where nothing has been sold, and then make it forecast for new periods. This is especially a problem for me since i have some products thats has seasonal fluctuations.

Regards, Kirstine Emilie Gaard Soerensen

Hello Kirstine,

If I understand you correctly, Targit is creating a forecast for the next empty column in your crosstable? Can you give an example?
In that case you will need to do some MDX-calculations in the cube (Visual Studio) or create your own forecast with Targit-calculations.

Hope that helped!

Best regards,
