Hello , I want a little help on these.

The first one is that I have a url address stored in a field in sql server.
If i use it as a dimension how can i use it as a hypelink ? When i click on it to open
on a browser window. Is it possible ?

The second is about images in binaries in sql . Will be load the image in the Targit ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Voyatzopoulos

For your first question about url, i propose that you make an URL action in your cube
(http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/article.php/10894_3647056_2/Actions-in-Analysis-Services-2005--The-URL-Action.htm)
This should be usable in the TARGIT client.

For the second question - this is not possible - se http://www.targit.com/youtargit?g=posts&t=194 if this solution fits your needs.

With the release of TARGIT Decision Suite 2013 we will start supporting the dimension attributes type "weburl".

If this is enabled you can click directly on the link within a cross table.

I haven't tested it yet, however the design should be that if your data is e.g. <a href="http://www.google.com">Link to www.google.com<a/> then TARGIT should "automagically" recognize the "Link to www.google.com" as text in the cross table and reference the URL http://www.google.com as the destination.

Hope this is useful and gives you a bit of insider knowledge ;-)

Best Regards

TARGIT
