Hi
I am using a date dim (for three selected dates) and also an "Hour of the Day" dim which has (0-24 values). I want to graph a running total of a measure over several days. However I want to reset the total after each change of date. I am using the Acc.sum calculation but I cannot get the range to to work.

sum(d-1["Source":f=0], d1:0["Range":r:f=d1:0], m8["Source"])

Anyone got a bright idea?

Thanks

Ray

Hi Ray

If I understand you correctly there is no exeption to the rule and you can allways rely on having 24 registrations per day?

If that is the case this formula should cover your needs. I've just assumed that you have 4 days in this particular formula - meaning 96 registrations.

Formula:

if count(d1, d1:0, m1) < 25 then sum(d1, d1:0, m1) else if count(d1, d1:0, m1) < 49 then sum(d1, d25:0, m1) else if count(d1, d1:0, m1) < 73 then sum(d1, d49:0, m1) else sum(d1, d73:0, m1)

I guess m1 in your case is m8.

By the way I would strongly recommend the TARGIT Calculations Expert training to familiarize yourself with the syntax needed in TARGIT to solve such challenges.

Hope it makes sense.

Hi Ray,

With two dimensions on the same axis (date and hours) you may also try something like

sum(d1, d1:0(s), m1)

This will also work if you have less than 24 registrations per day.

Best regards,
Ole
