New in the forum and sending my first post.

We have a potential AX client who would like to control the Targit user groups and permits from AX.
Is there a way of doing it? And if so, how?

Hi Harri,

I don't know about the options in AX, but TARGIT (in Windows Authentication mode) works by adding AD users and/or AD groups to Roles within the TARGIT Management administrative tool. These roles are then set up to access relevant data in the cube databases. The cube databases are typically created on a Microsoft SQL Server (in Analysis Services projects). You can also define authentication rules directly on the cubes - but I am not aware of any way to control this from AX. I doubt it can be done.
