Hi everyone,

I want to add a Total row and I have to deal with two issues. The first issue is that I cannot use percentages and absolute numbers in the same row.

The second issue is that I want to create a percentage using the results of two calculations and I do not know how to do it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

And a sample from my data:

A B C D
20 10 10 5
30 20 40 5
40 20 20 5
Total 110 50 70 15/70

Hi Katerina

You can add a total this way:

going to the calculations tab and...
ask for a Custom Caluculation...
choose as a single row...
give the calculation the title Total and enter the calculation sum(0,all,m1)
Click Apply

The syntax says sum up current column (0) for all rows.
Now you should have a total in a row below youre existing rows.

Now add another Custom Calculation...
This time choose as a single column...
Give a title by your choice and write the calculation sum(d-1,0,m1)/sum(d-2,0,m1)
Click Calculate in Intersection
Set a checkmark in Total - meaning you want to extend this calculation to the Total row
Now click Apply

Format your calculation as a percentage using the Properties tab

By the way: I highly recommend the TARGIT Calculation Expert training :-)

Hope it makes sense.

Thank you very much for your quick and understandable reply. I will try it and let you know. In my new total row however I will not be able to have different format in total and percentage is this right?

Yes you can :-)

This shows a x-tab with a calculated row (Total) and a calculated column (Percent)
