Hi all,

I wanted to design a crosstab allowing to show the evolution of sales of any month, year after year.

Something like this (sorry not very well aligned but I hope this can be understood)

______2015 2014 2013
Jan____xxx__yyy__zzz
Feb____aaa__bbb__ccc
.
.
.

My date dimension has a month subdimension and a year subdimension.

So I have put month vertically, year horizontally and I expected to get this nice matrix.

But it seems Targit detects the dimension is the same horizontally and vertically and as a consequence consider every month of every year as distinct entity.

Therefore I get this ugly matrix, not as ugly as below as it is perfectly aligned in Targit ;):

______2015 2014 2013
Jan______________zzz
Jan_________yyy
Jan____xxx
Feb______________ccc
Feb_________bbb
Feb____aaa
.
.
.

Am I doing something wrong??

Hi :-)

I think that your Month attribute has a composite key that contains Year and Month. With such a key, a certain Month will belong to a certain Year allways and not show Month independently from years.
You need a Month attribute with a key of only Monthnumer - then you can build a x-tab like below:

Hope it makes sense.
