I made a comparison with two groups of items.

Group 1: Item number between 100-200
Group 2: Item number between 300-400

With this grouping I expected to see only item numbers between 100 and 200, not item 100, 1001, 1002, 1003, 102, 1020" and so on.

How can this be solved? If I filter between 100 and 200 in Excel only numbers in this range shows.

Hi

I would suspect the your Item number is in fact a text column in the ERP database, even though you may only use that particular column for numbers it is probably defined as text "behind the scene".

When a column is formatted as text the sort order is like this:

100
1001
20

The column is left-justified and sorted according to evaluation of first character - then next character etc.

When you export it to Excel - well I think Excel takes an educated guess based on the content of that column and considers it to be a number (which is in a sense wrong...)

If you want to consider this column to be a number when working with it in TARGIT I think a redesign of your Item dimension would be needed.
Hope it makes sense.
