I have a crosstab showing all sales orders (with sales order number and sales order amount).

Some sales order numbers consist of numbers only, for example 123456. Other sales orders are a combination of letters and numbers, for example ABC-1233.

Is it possible to dynamic filter my crosstab to show only sales order numbers starting with "ABC"?

I guess the manual way to do it is to search ABC in the criteria bar, but I would like it done dynamically.

I'm afraid the short answer is no - you can't automize a wild-card search. The result of searching the criteriabar is a here and now result and not something you can store as a procedure/macro.

However when you work with the criteria editor in TARGIT you can use the Between operator.
That lets you set a scope between eg. ABC-1234 and ABC-6666.
The scope has to be limited by existing Ordernumbers. So in my example an order with the name ABC-7777 would not be included in the scope - so maybe it's not quite what you are looking for anyway.

In my opinion it would be more best practice if these orders where marked somehow in your ERP system - that mark/flag could then be an attribute on your Salesorder dimension that could easily filter out the orders you want.

Hope it makes sense.
