The “crosstab” consists of the time dimension, 2 measures and 3 calculations.
The default display in TARGIT is horizontal.
I.e. every measure and calculation is displayed per month in a (5x12=60) long row.
I have used the cool ”Measures down” feature to get a “square-crosstab” layout.
The challenge is that the default totals are not correct, and I want to make custom calculation in a column to correct this.
I have made 2 intermediate calculations referencing the different measures, but they are both displayed in the top row.
Is there any way to display a nicely formatted custom total per measure/row in one column?
I.e. top row has the value 47,835, second row 30,552 etc.

Hi Pall

Measures down is a little bit tricky to use along with calculations – mostly because measures down is only a visual thing – behind the scene the references for calculations are still as if all measures were in the same row.

This is the reason that your calculations only show a result in the first row – there is actually only one row although it is shown as a number of rows on screen depending on how many measures your object contains.

So my suggestion would be to make a sort of “manual” measures down – I start out with a crosstab containing 2 measures and years on the horizontal axis:

Then I add a comparison on the Vertical Axis – the comparison contains one element with no criteria, it’s only purpose is to create a row in the crosstab:

Add a calculated row (which is a substitute for measures Down) – in this case moving the 2nd measure Cost to a new row - remember to name the calculation according to your measure name:

Go to properties and hide the original Cost-measure:

Use properties – Dynamic captions to hide the Revenue caption on every column:

Now we can add a calculated row if desired:

And a calculated column (remember to set checkmarks for calculate in intersection):

Hope it makes sense.
