Is it possible to use a custom defined period type as a dynamic date.

We have customer period type that consists of 35 days for 10 periods and then remainder of year belongs to period 11.

I was thinking it might be doable tweaking the use of Months period type with a custom lookup table transforming TheDate into "modified" month numbers.

Can it be done, and if so, would that be the best way?

Hello Rasmus,

I am a user like you but I think you can define the dynamic period in the console and have to set the levels.
In the company i work for we have dynamic dates created on the cube level which is a coded SQL solution so from that perspective you can do it.

Kind Regards
