Hi all

I have set a filter on a report through a global criteria, for example: country = US, UK or Belgium.
I would like that consumer users can not choose any other than those 3 pre-selected countries.

If I set it as a global criteria, consumer users can right-click on the criteria bar to "Remove all global criteria". Which kind of undermines the point. Is there a way to disable this or work aroud it?

Can someone help me out?

Thank you!

Kind regards
Jacob

Hi Jacob,

I have a couple of work arounds - see if any of these will work for you.

1. Work with Forced criteria. 'Forced criteria' is a setting on a role, and if set to those three countries, end-users (member of that role) will never be able to see data for any other countries.

2. Remove from Criteria bar. When you design your analysis, you can set the three country criteria through the Criteria editor. Then add a simple table (the object type called 'table') to your analysis, with the country dimension showing those three countries. End-users can then use this simple table as a drill down selector. Notice that consumer users using the Windows client will still be able to go to the Criteria editor to remove the criteria - consumer users with the Anywhere client will not.
