Is there currently any way to define the width of a column in a cross-tab or table?

I have a number of cross-tabs where it would be pleasing to the eye for all the measures to have the same width and I would like to not have to drag the widths and hope they align at the same width.

I really like the new grid features for the analysis objects - it would be great if a similar feature existed for the columns in cross-tabs and tables.

Hi Rasmus,

There is currently no way to define column widths by typing in a number, but you might try this approach:

1. Resize all your measure columns to the smallest possible width. They have a minimum size which is 10 pixels or so. Headers and data will become unreadable.
2. Use 'Autofit measures' (the third option on the 'Autofit' button).

This should resize all your measure columns to the exact same width within the allocated space of the crosstab object.

Thanks Ole,

I could use that if all my measures were equally denominated - but sometimes it makes sense to show a measure containing 2 digits along with another measure containing 7 digits and giving those two measures the same column width is a waste of space.
