Cloud or On-premises

In the age of cloud computing, it can be a critical decision where to host your servers. With Microsoft SQL Server, both cloud and on-premises options are available, and it’s possible to work in a Hybrid environment utilizing both on-premises solutions and taking advantage of Microsoft’s global data centers.

Multidimensional Cubes

Microsoft Analysis Services is a strong tool for designing and building cubes on top on your data warehouse. By using cubes, you ensure that your company have a single semantic data model across your organization and ensure everyone is looking at the same version of the truth. With the tools available in Microsoft SQL Server your IT department or Microsoft partner can build in all the business logic you need, and at the same time ensure high performance for the users who will be slicing and dicing your data in the TARGIT front-end.

With Microsoft Analytics Platform, you get the ability to work with petabytes of data through the combination of parallel processing and in-memory technologies.

Tabular model

Tabular models are in-memory databases in Analysis Services based on Microsoft's xVelocity in-memory analytics engine (VertiPaq). The tabular models are available for SQL Server 2012 and 2014.

The tabular models are an alternative to a Multidimensional model (cube), but the in-memory, tabular model technology is the future. It’s easy to develop a tabular model and very accessible. Data that resides in-memory is faster than data on a disk.

SQL Server Data Tools

Microsoft SQL Server comes with one of the absolute best ETL tool available on the market, SQL Server Integration Services. So compared to other solutions, you do not need to buy additional software to get started building your data warehouse.

Included with SQL Server is the frontend development tool SQL Server Data Tools based on Microsoft Visual Studio.

TARGIT offers components for SQL Server Integration Services, that makes it even faster and easier to develop your solution.
