The industrial gas company is able to analyze data and create reports faster than ever thanks to the TARGIT solution. They can even change or add data to a report during a live meeting and adjust accordingly to new or changed information needs. This enables management to make much better decisions much faster.
In addition to top management, TARGIT is used by sales managers, sales reps, Finance and Account, and Marketing and Market Development departments.
"The data you are not using is meaningless," states Information Services Director at Linde Gaz A.S., Ogün Ozpinar. Linde Gaz A.S. enjoys in particular the flexibility of TARGIT. "Before TARGIT, a report could be created by only one person or only by one department. Now, we can get the data even via web browsers so we do not need anybody or any additional efforts to get a report," explains Selcok Tuzun and continues: "we have become addicted to TARGIT and cannot do without it. It is an important part of our transactional system."
In the past, Linde Gaz A.S. had enormous amounts of raw data in their system, and they were unable to analyze it in a proper, fast, and accurate way by using classical spreadsheets. Every single month, management and the employees spent too much time retrieving the data and analyzing it. If they then needed different information in a report, they would have to go back to the beginning of the process. Then, when they would get the final report, their information needs could have changed once again. In other words, analyzing data was a very complicated and long process that needed the effort of several employees.
With only limited resources at hand, more reports are necessary in order to make better strategic decisions. But Linde Gaz A.S. lacked a BI solution that would deal with the reporting problems and data clutter issues - a BI solution that is "flexible, online, reliable, editable, fast, able to do trend analysis, user friendly, simple, and yet effective". A long list of demands from Linde Gaz A.S. However, these demands were immediately met by TARGIT. This impressed Linde Gaz A.S. greatly.

1. Sales reports: Actual, budget, comparisons on product and customer base, consumptions, regional analysis etc.
2, Financial reports: Profit, loss tables, cash flow account etc.
