Thanks to the TARGIT solution, Weber Germany has begun working more efficiently and increased productivity: “We have obtained faster and better reporting, which gives us better analyses of the total business,” says Günter Grimm, Manager for Business Administration CEE in Weber Germany.

The Business Intelligence solution was implemented and was set up to analyze on data from both Sales, Finance and Logistics. “With TARGIT, we’re getting a clearer and simpler merging and consolidation of reports from several national affiliates,“ says Günter Grimm and continues: “the fact that we’re now able to create reports in a graphical form provides us with a fast and clear overview. And the possibility of individual adjustments for the various departments is very useful to us.”

Monitoring a high growth rate
Weber has had great success in Germany since they started in 2004, with a massive growth of an average of 30% a year. A growth of this size has to be handled, and when they heard about the positive experiences that one of their national affiliates had with TARGIT, they were not in doubt: They had to have a Business Intelligence solution from TARGIT as well. “We spent too much time creating individual reports. And even worse, management had poor overview of the total business,“ says Günter Grimm.

Something had to change if they were to meet the challenges of handling a growing business with even more articles and national affiliates.

One challenge they had to face, was handling NAV data of 10 countries. Weber Germany is responsible for Central and East Europe (CEE) including Russia with its one NAV application and Russian special characters. Another challenge was delivering information for the Corporate European Reporting in Brussels with another structure.

Weber Germany was using Microsoft Dynamics NAV as their ERP System, but the system lacked significant Business Intelligence analysis capabilities, and therefore, they were introduced to TARGIT Decision Suite which integrates perfectly with NAV.
