How do I count the number of children in a hierarchy without expanding the hierarchy?

Hi Jacob,
I don't think there's a way to do this, because the (c) function for the calculations only looks at things that are expanded.
You could however create a measure on your data model for all the children, with a 1, and when you have the hierarchy that measure will sum up to the number of children present.
Hope it helps!

Or you can expand them and hide them ;-)
