We are looking for a Business Development Representative with previous experience developing leads based on outbound activities and the results of marketing campaigns.
You will seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. You will also act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams and have daily contact with one or more Account Executives as well as the Marketing team.
You love using your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospects, from first contact through the later stages of the sales cycle.

Your Responsibilities
You will join our Marketing team, where you'll be a frontline salesperson and perform the following:
Evangelize messaging, differentiators, and value drivers with leads
Serve as internal business development expert for pre-defined verticals
Generate market interest and drive sales activity by timely follow-up on demand generation campaigns and marketing activities
Progress leads through to the sales-qualified lead (SQL) opportunity stage
Work closely with Account Executives on vertical & territory plans
Nurture campaigns during the sales development process
As one of our frontline salespersons, you will be measured by nurturing of leads, number of appointments set/percentage of appointments deemed worthwhile by Sales, opportunity and revenue value generated from lead(s) passed, and met and exceeded activity levels (calls, emails sent).
Your Qualifications
Minimum one year of business development or inside sales experience
Existing comparable experience within B2B software business development
Excellent verbal, written, and phone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a fast-moving team
Ability and aptitude to learn and retain product information
Active listening skills to assess prospect needs and opportunities
Ability to articulate a reasonable premise for every call
Ability to interpret data from marketing automation and CRM to personalize outbound communications
Discipline to maintain high call volumes
You're comfortable with ambiguity and highly adaptable to new circumstances
You have a natural curiosity to interface with others and ask questions
You're not easily intimidated by the seniority of the prospects you'll be calling
You exhibit empathy for others' problems and challenges
You're a self-starter who takes the initiative to achieve individual and shared goals

Will Be Considered a Plus
B2B experience in a similar type of market (software, SaaS)
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM system
University degree or equivalent business/sales experience
Experience with sales methodologies and processes
