New product. New features. And more of what you love.
Our latest '21 summer release brings exciting news to every TARGIT customer using their solution in a complex IT landscape.
With constant updates in systems and tools, you need the flexibility to add new data sets on the fly and integrate with a wide range of SaaS products and other platforms.
We’re thrilled to give you the solution you need.
The wait to initiate processes and workflows is over. With webhooks, users can trigger workflows in ERP; CRM, and support systems or communicate via text, Teams, Yammer, and Slack. Create to-dos in Outlook, Trello, and Google Calendar. Add data to Excel sheets and more.
Webhooks provide two endpoints for notifications as well as push notifications for web services like Zapier, Power Automate, and IFTTT.
Past releases made it easier to integrate TARGIT into other applications. This one features a new object that lets you integrate inside TARGIT. Now users can embed an iframe into a TARGIT document and pull in content from websites, including same-origin and authentication.
Furthermore, the iFrames can be dynamic based on content and parameters inside the document.
TARGIT Information Collector (TIC) is a shortcut for support tickets. This handy software update automates and aligns collection of critical support information to simplify back-end support. Comes complete with an encrypted package for easy implementation.
A leap forward for all your reporting jobs, big and small. This new feature lets you apply criteria to specific report pages, supports “ignore criteria” on any given page, and provides criteria cardinality (Global – Page – Local).
Now you can link to Anywhere in any scheduled job. Just look for the Anywhere link in your delivery tab. One prerequisite: You’ll need to set up the location of Anywhere in TARGIT Management.
Queries, simplified. Native DAX support enables the TARGIT server to use DAX for querying against Tabular solutions.
TARGIT changes the way we allow users to connect to a variety of rest APIs based data sources from data discovery and TARGIT ETL Studio. Moving ahead users will connect through a service that is managed and updated by TARGIT, so we can add and update drivers as vendors make changes to their APIs without it requires any changes to the local environment.
With this release, it's possible to separate the TARGIT Client from the TARGIT server and release client versions without risk.
Furthermore, you have the option to lock an Anywhere instance to one identity provider.
TARGIT insights is a new product for admins and developers that allows you to understand and optimize your BI environment.
Upon activation, TARGIT Insights will deploy a set of default dashboards. The start page will give you a quick overview with triggers to supporting dashboards. Designers can customize or build new dashboards and save local versions.
TARGIT Insights is a cloud add-on for the TARGIT Decision Suite that you can enable and deploy with a single click.
The Active Users dashboard provides insights into TARGIT user activity across your organization, including how often users log in. The dashboard also identifies inactive users.
Quickly identify documents with no recent usage. Browse all the documents by the file type or by the last usage date.
Users will sometimes experience broken links in solutions using triggers, menu objects, and bookmarks if a document has been deleted, renamed, or moved. TARGIT Insights allows for easy identification of those broken links.
With the introduction of the new canvas in 2019, we have seen TARGIT users push the dashboard design level to new levels. Still, we have added a range of features to make the design and user experience even better.
The new shape object lets the designer add basic shapes to a document allowing for simpler creation of some more common design elements.
The new label object makes it easier to add and format a single line of text.
The new image object makes it easier to add an image to a document.
When adding images to a document, you can now add the image as a reference to a URL, making it easier to update and maintain shared design elements such as logos and other icons.
Trigger actions now allow the content of the current document to be exported to either Excel or PDF.
A trigger can now open a specific layout in a document, including triggering a report's export.
Objects containing a set of local criteria can now update the global criteria through trigger actions.
Triggers can use relative links to make it easier to maintain the solution.
Exciting new features, such as TARGIT Insights and improvements to design and navigation – especially on Triggers and Dynamic Content.

We combined several map charts into a single, enhanced offering. The map chart now effectively replaces the area and image charts and introduces a range of new features.
You can now show data as a circle for exact locations and simultaneously fill the shape in an area chart.
The TARGIT Decision Suite map offering now supports longitude and latitude. If you have the dimensions available in your data model, you will automatically map them to standard maps or your custom maps. The mapping will automatically add any new data points you introduce.
The new map chart allows designers to choose the new heatmap options to represent many overlapping data points.
We’ve expanded the options for working with Dynamic Time, so you can now configure dynamic time to work all the way down to the minute level.
We added an extra option to the criteria part of dynamic content in layout objects to allow a much improved display of date ranges when using dynamic time.
We added the ability to include a dimension description in dynamic content.
For reports that iterate over a crosstab, you can now use the current member for dynamic content.
Objects that returned no result previously displayed as “no data result.” Now, you can hide objects from the dashboard if they display an empty result.
You can now hide objects configured with required criteria until those criteria are met.
Designers can now disable interactions for select objects. When disabled, consumers will be unable to see the underlying table or choose any export options.
To increase performance when working with large datasets, TARGIT can sample the data used in visualizations. You can change or disable the threshold in object properties at any time.
Designers can now allow consumers to toggle between static and dynamic criteria in the criteria bar.
We have expanded the options for working with Dynamic Time, so it's now possible to configure dynamic time to work all the way down to the minute level.
